# Delete things, or everything

> How deleting single items and deleting your whole account works.

Anything you delete stops appearing in answers right away. Deleted items sit in the trash for 90 days, then are permanently removed.

## Single items

Delete a file, photo or note from the library. It moves to the trash, disappears from search and chat immediately, and can be restored from the trash within 90 days. After that it is permanently gone.

## Your account

Delete your account from Settings. For 90 days, logging back in restores the account exactly as it was. After the window closes, the account and its library are permanently removed.

## Taking a copy

You can export your library from Settings before deleting anything; Fryri emails you when the export file is ready to download.
